Chris, simply fascinating. Interesting that there was a German Day at the NY Worlds Fair when Germany did not even bother to set up an exhibition and participate.

The definative book on the unforms, organisation and history of the Bund (and similar groups) has yet to be written.

                  Chris:

Fantastik, rare and very historical material - the Bund flag is absolutely stunning.

My compliments on a truly unique and outstanding collection...

Here are some items from a Bund site--unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be active.

Wish my Grandparnets were alive today to ask them about the Bund. I remember as a kid back in the 70s them telling me of the American Nazis roaming around NY and NJ back before the war.

They lived in both states ever since birth and I was born in Patterson. Looking at the of the places in the book I know those places and now what's weird is I've live in CA since 1980 from Santa Barbara to San Diego. I'm gonna check out what history there was here in SD.

I always wondered what the NSDAP-AO's involvement was, if any, with the Bund? I cannot recall there being any interaction. It looks like the Party did not get involved with the Bund. If I recall correctly, Hitler did not want to agitate American interests.

I can only echo the previous comments...remarkable items.

I do recall seeing moving footage of a Bund rally in the seminal documentary series "The World At War", although it was a very brief segment it was unsettling to see.

Amazing collection of a forgotten/hidden political history.
