DUH!!!!!!! It is tarnish, patina!!!

nsadp79, an excellent example, nicely marked and in near mint condition. castle is correct that it is the 2nd. pattern but I would estimate the value a bit higher at around $150. in this condition but what do I know, I don't have many posts.

yes, these are the types of "insightful" posts this member is known for... stating the obvious and paraphrasing others posts...all with an apparent desire to respond to each and every thread started on the entire forum, usually ending his posts with some question or other to bait individuals to respond directly to him. it is indeed quite obnoxious...

It is the successor to the M-27 eagle, and is called (by collectors) the M-34, for the year it came out. It was replaced when the Form 3 NSDAP visor came out in 1936 by the M-36 eagle, which was then, in turn, replaced by the M-37 eagle.

John is correct--that is patina on the eagle--it is neusilber, and they were not frosted.

It is definately unissued. Nice piece.
