I think it is an original. The fakers rarely go to the extra expense and trouble to add the third bottom prong. The metal for the prongs should be brass, as shown.

The "lazy" M is a red flag but I think not in this case. I have seen original early pieces with that style. I'm just saying that if there were other questionable features it would stand out. The lazy M is used on a lot of fakes.

the lazy M feature is still debatable.... some of us think the lazy M is ok, while other do not.

same for the RZM that used to have two circles and some only had one circle. We now know they are both ok.
