NSKOV Armband

Purchased this some time ago here on the estand but never got round to getting any detail on it. Can anyone let me know the critreia for wear on this armband?

Andy,
The only real criteria for wear this would be to have been a member of the NSKOV from Dusseldorf and attending an appropriate event or function that required wear of either the uniform or Civilian clothes with an Armband.

The NSKOV is the "Disabled Veterans" branch of the Reichskreigersbund (also for support of Widows & Orphans) and wore basically the same uniform & visor hat but had a differant style eagle device. Originally it was a totally seperate organization but by 1938 all veterans organizations were absorbed by the RKB.....however, the NSKOV retained some degree of seperation reflected in thier insignia & trappings.....

Nice original Armband by the way....
