Sorry to say, but if memory serves, this is a fantasy badge version of the DLV cap insignia circa 1970s and sold by Delta International and/or WW#2. This type was not worn as a badge and the style of safety pin suspension is typical of the copies of the period.

Indeed - it has the infamous "lazy M" RZM logo, plus DLV items were never subject to the RZM. I saw it in the WWII Inc. catalog in the 1970s as well.

Hey guys, I'm new here. I hope I'm doing this post correctly. I don't know how to attach an image yet, so for now I'll just have to describe it. For starters, I know its a repro / Fantasy badge sold by Delta International back in the late 60's and early 70's, I bought one back in the day and if I remember correctly it was $3.75. Okay, now, Its the winged badge with the red porcelain / enamel circle and black swas. It has the "ges gesh" and the RZM with the "lazy M" and the cheesy safety pin on the back side. Here's my problem. Like I mentioned before I bought one back in the early 70's when I was a kid and new in the hobby. It was pretty cool back in the day and at that time I had no idea it was a fantasy piece. A few years later I sold it for $10.00. Now, I'm 56 and would like to re own one. Anyone out there have one they would part with or maybe know someone who does? I see them online time to time but the sellers are listing them as originals, it's either "little do they know" or probably " little does the buyer know" . To see this badge look at the thread "Interesting DLV Wings" Anyway, thank's for reading my post and hope to hear back from someone .
