Need HJ / DJ Shoulderboard Help / Opinions

Picked these up this last weekend and know very little about them, I believe these are HJ items, but not quite sure.

Looking for Bann location, rank and any information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Richard

Hello. This is set of post 1938 General HJ boards, in the slip on style. The numbers are from Bann 65, Obergebiet West, HJ Gebiet 11, Koln-Aachen. They are for the rank of Scharfuhrer.

Any idea of value, not counting the damage? I'm looking at a few similar pairs myself. Thanks.

Value can vary a lot with HJ straps. Examples like this are post 1938 genral HJ, and are usually on the lower priced end. They can sell for anywhere from 50 to 100 USD for a set, and anywhere in between. The specialised straps like flieger, motor, marine, and Striefendienst go for a little more. There are some HJ straps that are really common Bann numbers, thus commanding a lower price. Higher priced straps are usually Landjahr, Leadership, Gebietstab, Reichfinazschule, and more rare Bann numbers like Berlin, Munich, and Nurenberg, etc. Any straps affiliated with AHS or NPEA will also command a high price and sell almost instantly when they come up. I don't like to pay a lot more for "dolled up" boards with pips and litzen, as these are easily added by some dealers to increase value. Bargains can still be found, and singles are usually cheap. It's hard to match up a set of boards from two that have not been together as a set. Look at my photo album for some pictures of different straps.

Just to add a little more info on the Bann Richard. Bann 65 was Köln-Land when this pattern shoulder strap was in use.

There is a useful list here which will give you the correct triangle for your straps:
