The way many people do it, is open a discussion about the item with a link to the item on eStand. Some members will link to an item on eStand they may want to buy or have questions about.
However it works, it creates interaction and discussion, and promotes knowledge and history, which is the purpose of the forum.

So what you're saying is that it is OK for any member to start a discussion thread in the appropriate forum blatantly plugging his/her sales thread for any item?

Posting the item for discussion will validate an item or point out it's shortcomings. It is done all the time. Frankly, I think this way is safer for the buyer than just purchasing an expensive item off the E-Stand without any cooberation of it's validity.
