    Childrens armband?

Hello, I was wondering by who and how the small pinted party armband was worn... often called "childrens armband" .
I personally don't think that's it because of the strickt regulations of wearing insignia in the Third Reich...

One is on e-stand at the moment:

(this thread is not to discuss that particulair one)

I've often wondered about these narrow bands. They were described in the 1980s as "Pimpf" armbands for pre-DJ kids, but I've never quite believed that.

My own thought is these are NSDAP auxiliary bands (sometimes printed with "Partei-Bereitschaft" or such, but often found plain and unissued) worn in the late war years by non-uniformed Party helpers on civil defense / Luftschutz, etc., duties. Just a theory, but I suspect they were worn on a civilian suit jacket below the elbow. Love to see any photos of them in use.

The above youngster seems to be wearing a full-sized armband on his DJ outfit - probably borrowed from dad.

I agree. These were worn by personel at partys. Civilians such as caters and waiters at such function. Best regards.

They were primarily worn during the war when non-uniformed party personnel aided in air-raid related activities, clean-up after bombing raids, aiding the injured, etc.

Appears to be a full sized on to me , just pinned to tighten it up on curcumference. Ill bet they did have kids bands . They had kids helmets and uniforms.

That 's my opinion too: non uniformed NSDAP members serving as auxiliaries.
Any proof of this? I never saw a photo of this small type in wear...

Are the NSDAP bereitschaft bands of the exact same size, so these could be the same but unstamped ones?

@ Dav: why do you think of waiters and caters? any photo's of them wearing bands?
