the article is in volume 25,number 2 Spring 2014 of the Military Advisor. The Coburg article was written by Jeff Hanson.

the title of the article is "At Coburg I Made History".

This was an interesting item at Auktionshaus Loesch last auction.
Looking back in the thread to page 62 I see that Erich S. has a poster depicting this very same event! Erich, I hope you were the successful bidder!

Thank you for the reminder Erich. Jeff has written numerous fine articles with documentation on such events in Third Reich history. It is well worth the investment in those past issues and a subscription for future issues of Bender Publishing's magazine "Military Advisor".

          Hi Wessel,

I was the successful bidder on this piece. My friend owns the poster which I believe used to be in Erich's collection.

Thanks! I know of only 1 or 2 others and I thought it would go nicely with the plate.

I have to watch myself since I am not a Political collector!

Page 70 of this thread is the plaque I found once years ago. Assume Lauer Nuremberg was the only maker of those Coburg plaques.

Thanks for the page reference, Robert. I had forgotten about this one.

A really neat looking poster. You have/had quite the collection of Coburg items.

This picture was part of a grouping which I just received.
Who is the wearer of the Coburg badge shown here ?

                            Best regards,

                              Alex,

Looks like an upside down SA Sports Badge to me, not a Coburg badge.
