A few reasons why the CB was a special and important award IMO;
1) A true old fighters decoration awarded for street battles against Marixts.
2) An award for a victory for the young party.
3) An award so rare that most of the bigwigs didn't even poses one.
It was Der Fuehrer's favorite political award. Outside of his own awards of course
Have a look at lot 820 in Alexander Historical auction: a Coburg momento dedicated to Fritz Eitel.
If original, this beermug belongs to the same Fritz Eitel whose BO grouping is for sale at Militaria Scholz at this very moment and whose Coburg badge and document were sold at HH a few years back.

Just saving up for the badge and plate! Although I am typically a combat badge collector, I have an extreme appreciation for the historical importance (and rarity) associated with this badge.
