I would agree with Erich and say around 40 is a good number as to how many pieces are in collectors hands today.

            Mil,
I would say around 30 to 35 in collectors' hands, (5 not in my record list)
            , so total is 40.

WAF is not the world, I think that more than likely double of what we have seen sold/collected in the past 10years or so, remain out there. Lots of very private and impressive collections out there that never see the light of day.
I have only 1 full size and one mini.

I agree! IMO it's impossible to guess how many Coburg badges, Blood Orders, German Orders, SS Röhm daggers, etc. reside in collections, attics, basements, dresser drawers, trunks, storage lockers, or other hiding places. For me there isn't enough information available to attempt a meaningful estimate.

An interesting photo of Mutschmann wearing his CB while going ballooning.

Mutschmann looks like he'd had a snoot-full of Schnapps before he 'volunteered' to climb into that wicker basket!!

                            Very funny!

Someone flipping the stuff. Will be available from Frank Scholz 1st August. Barry Turk sold it for 14,700 USD, so expect the asking price to be >20K EUR.

They replaced the fake small GPB with a cloth eagle and German cross. Great joke !
