no one here paying for english humor but proper merchandise

Where money is involved there should be no room for 'humor' as you put it.

From estand rules: 'Items listed must be honestly described. Any known or suspected defects, repairs, or alterations are to be disclosed and detailed in the narrative, with photos provided if possible'.

Thanks Mathew, I'm sure there is something in the rules about the way to communicate, politely, to fellow members as well.
A private PM to me would have been enough.

Getting back on topic here, does anyone know who this well decorated Old Fighter is?

I don't think that is Schreck. Aside from different looks, he held a rank of Standartenfuhrer by 1933 which would give this photo only a very narrow window of time to be taken.

                  cheers

                    Agree Matt it's not Schreck.

I think I see crossed spade and pickaxe on his tab in front of the numeral which would make him a member of SS-Pioniersturmbann. Maybe post in the SS section? His mug looks familiar but I can't put my finger on it..

Is it Johann Bäumer? There's a german article about him:

Looking at the German Wikipedia site, they show two recipients of the Silver Coburg badge of honor such as the one in the Ailsby collection.

Heinrich Bulking of Duisburg, an SA Mann martyred in 1929.

Theresa Esslinger a widow from Munich.

These make much more sense than one being awarded to Martin Bormann's brother Albert.
