Thanks to a fellow member, I was able to add this great little 10yr anniversary badge to my collection. It's interesting to note that this badge was issued the same year as the Coburg Badge itself!

No, there is more to be had for someone with very deep pockets. The interesting thing about this badge is, it was probably the first badge given out by the City of Coburg to those who participated in the March before the actual awarding of the Coburg Badge.

The problem with deep pockets is short arms, or the lack of anything in the pockets...damn taxman.

Interesting badge though Erich, is there anyway to confirm the before "the actual award?"

No, there would have no other reason for it that I can figure out. I kinda equate it with how the Gau Munich badge predated the Blood Order. Either way, it's a very rare badge in it's own right!

I agree that it's an uncommon badge. My take on it is that it was a day badge for the celebrations commemorating the 1922 event that anyone could buy at the event (like a Nürnberg Reichsparteitag tinnie/day badge).

That very well could be Erich, it's interesting that it's dated 1932 which was the same year that the CB came out, which leads me to believe that it may possibly be an award by the city to the participants. On a side note, after talking with John Pepera he has only seen 2 of these badges in all his years of collecting. Other than the one John owns this is also the 2nd that I have seen as well.

I have a Hitler in Coburg tinnie that is similar to the one Erich posted. Difference is my tinnie has a copper like finish. Unable to post it, but will scan it if someone is interested and wants to post it.
