Weitze is offering this mug already for a long time, it is a interesting item, maybe a Souvenir, but in my opinion a little exspensiv.

This thread keeps getting better by the day. Is that a coburg badge being worn? Were there any party regulations for the badge being worn on the uniform? Pinned higher than the GPB? Or BO?

As for the City of Coburg, to me it is the location but historians would be more interested on the Coburg event. Certainly the location and event are linked but if everyone were to collect location based memorabilia based on the event, then what about Berlin, Munich etc.? To me collectors focus on the merit of the award bearer first and foremost in which a decoration is awarded; followed by the event that marks what happened; ans finally badges that speak about the location. Thus the significance of the Coburg Badge is no doubt most coveted and while the city was a party stronghold, items about Coburg city had a different meaning and linked to alliance to the Party rather than Hitler or the event.

Does anyone know anything further about this Tinnie? Could this tinnie be used to raise funds for the event? Meaning that the tinnie was sold before the event, and of course possibly also sold during the event which photos (indistinguishably) show it being worn? The the actual Coburg Badge was given out later on?

Joe pointed put the missing “Mit”. To those familiar with the German language, if translated into English, would this be “meet” in a future present tense, or a present tense? Or is this a past tense for “met”? Meaning that the actual CB was to say “I met hitler at coburg”.

Let's not get snarky here! Some people are not familiar with the language or the history.

Guys, A ‘set’ is the Coburg awarded badge and its document.
Everything else is parafanalia connected to either the town, commemoration events, purchasable gifts and trinkets, etc.
This thread title is Coburg badge. Ideally there would have been a separate thread for Coburg associated collectibles, however it’s fine how it’s developed.

Well I see your point Jon. But then you sound like a mere collector of things rather than a collector of history. And if there wasn’t THE commemorative event, there would be no set of badge and Besitzurkunde. How boring.

A good observation, Erich: The wording on the Coburg Badge is self-referential for those who participated in that particular event in 1922. "With Hitler in Coburg."

Hi Joe, my collecting is most definitely around the history not the ‘things’, that why I collect Blutorden do they are attributable to the winners and the time in history they represent.
