German Eagle Order 5th Class

Hello again,

I picked up these as part of a lot today. So far everthing has been good! The icing on the cake would be to find out that these are ok too. One is complete and marked 30 (I think) with the other one having a broken suspension ring. It appears that both are die struck and the one on the right (broken ring) has some bronze finish.

Please would you give me your opinions?

These aren't Eagle Order 5th Cl.s, they are both Eagle Order Medals of Merit "Bronze" grade....(notice the white stripe on the ribbons).....I'm not crazy about the quality of the strikes, and the quality of the metal seem "too good" for the bronze grades usually encountered (usually dull gray zink once the bronze fades away....) however, I only have my own example to compare them with...
Hope they both turn out to be good....

Eagle Order Medal of Merit in Bronze 1943

After collecting Eagle Orders for many years, I would say they are both original pieces. Because of the zinc base most of them if not cared for properly do not retain the thin bronze finish. The ribbon also has the correct weave compared to the post war copies. It appears that the prior owner has buffed them slightly. It is of coarse not the 5th class
