Gau Thuringen Badge and related items

I think the Gau Thurigen badge is one of the more attractive of the Gau badges. Here's my cased example along with a plate and tinnie that was given to the Ale Garde during their annual visits to the Gaus during the 1930's. If any one else has one please post it!

Does anyone else have a Gau Thuringen badge that they would like to post?

Erich, her is mine that I posted on the GPB thread, shown with his GPBs. There was also the tinnie you show.

Thanks Joe for posting your fine grouping. there is a bronze version of the badge that has surfaced some years ago but I'm not sold on it as an award due to being no period documentation on it to date. Any thoughts?

I have a Gau Thuringen silver cake server taken from Sauckel's home at the end of the war. If you'd like to see it, I'll take some photos and post it up.

Chris, was that the one for sale on another forum? If so it looks good and I was considering it. Best, Erich

I'd like to see it Chris. I have a dinner knife with the Thuringen eagle on the handle and I was wondering from whose service it came.

Erich, like you I was not comfortable with the bronze issue of the Gau Thuringen eagle because of the lack of documentation about it. The numbering seems to be separate from the sivler version. Yet, I have evidence that badges were issued after the completion of the original Gau Thuringen badge list.
