    I have a few questions related to the SA.

    What happened with the man of the SA after the '30s?
    ..Because sometimes I see an Deathcard with a SA rank on it, and then there is standing in an Infanterie-Regiment, died etc etc.

    After the 30's when the SA was 'taken over' by the SS, did the man of the SA just switch to an Infantry Regiment?

    After the Roehm purge, the SA's power was diminished, and I believe they were relegated primarily to paramilitary training.

      Also home defence, remember alot of SA men were young and unemployed so a natural progression into the Wehrmacht for the war, Sean

        Thanks both of you!

        So it was usual that SA man where switched to Wehrmacht divisions.

          Not switched as such, remember the SA wasnt a military organisation, they would leave and join the Wehrmacht, Sean
