    Unknown Hitler Desk Item

Here is an item that was brought back by a GI at the end of the war. His family said it came out of one of Hitlers residences. I am trying to identify it and possibly find out what it is worth? Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Andy
One more note. The owners just informed me that the bottom is marked "DRGM", so I guess this was was some sort of factory made item.

It may have been one of thousands of gifts sent to Hitler by one of his millions of adoring 'volk'. It was a well known that people would post Hitler little gifts that they had sometimes crafted themselves. I very much doubt that Hitler purchased it personally or that a notable figure presented it to him as the materials and workmanship are quite low quality and fairly crude. The object appears to commemorate significant milestones in the life of the NSDAP, perhaps votes won in elections or a party day (parteitag), the foundation of the party with reputedly 7 members growing to tens of millions eventually and Hitler becoming Chancellor. As to value, perhaps $50 as a curio?

      Hope that helps.

they are milestones in the voting numbers received by the NSDAP. in the 1930 and 1933 reichstag elections. The 7 men number in 1919 were the number of founding members then. Cheers, Torsten.

Your best bet, although a longshot for sure, would be to look through available photos of AH at or next to his various desks. Maybe (just maybe) you'll see it in the shot - it's a prominent shape so would stand out.

If you do, you could probably add a zero to the value mentioned above, perhaps more.

          Good luck...

As David, already mentioned this may well have been one of the many thousands of homemade nicknacks sent to Adolf in 1933 .... but I doubt very much that you will find it in any photos displayed as part of his personal stuff ... in any case, I think it more likely that it has nothing to do with Adolf directly and that it was not sent to him and that it was made by someone somewhere and for whatever reason .... looks more like a local school or apprentice competition piece ... Cheers, Torsten.

Neat piece! The '1' may have represented a ballot number--Wählt Liste 1--for the NSDAP. Hard to say what it would bring. As is, I'd say $350-450.00.

              Festina lente!
