SA, NSBO & NSFK Sport shirt emblems???

    Hello,
I'm new to the site and have been going through my collection, which I will be showing off and asking questions on some time soon. Some questions you may find elementary but I hope you will all patient with me. The first question I have is that within my sport shirt collection I have found that a few items I have glow under UV light unlike many of the other items. I have noticed that many threads show the NSFK and it seems there are conflicting opinions on it's originality and was wondering if theirs glowed? I have noticed that Germania International has had all three on his site with photos of refrence books showing these within. Any input would be greatly appreciated.:

These patterns were sold during the 80s and later at shows and I believe the backing cloth has synthetic (e.g. polyester) fibers in the weave. The white glows bright electric blue due to the modern whitener used in the manufacture of the thread. The fake bevo U Boat badges were sold at the same time by the same seller to every dealer. While the black light test is not always valid, in this case I would say your insignia are reproductions.

As far as I know the were made at the end of the 70's by an Austian manufacturer as many other BeVo items (Police, Teno, Reichsbahn...)

        Light

Sal Ruffo - Just remember that even original white items washed in detergent will emit a glo , but it's usually VERY uneven, with mottled glowing. These aren't them.

Thanks for the information, I did feel that these were repros and have a few other things that I'm not sure of that I have left sitting in a box until I'm positive of there authenticity. Keep an eye on some of my posts because I value your opinions.
          Thanks for your time.
