Apparently the Germans were very utilitarian after the war. I located 2 of these signs and both were used in parts of the walls of sheds in Germany. Of course they were used in such a fashion that the "nasty" symbols were not seen.

True .. here some Signs ( 28 cm each ) was in a Cows stall
