    NSDAP Visor cap 1933 - 1936

    Hello guy
I'm no expert in Nsdap cap

I have a question about a photo of an NSDAP visor cap without the Kokarde.
The first pattern of the nsdap visor cap ....is without Kocarde ?

This is the strange photo : ..... No kokarde !!

And this is a photo of an Example of Nsdap visor cap ( 1933-1936 ) BUT WITH THE CORRECT KOKARDE :

    Thank you

According to Vol 3 of Headgear of Hitler's Germany, when the PL switched over from Kepis to Visors, they continued to wear a button or cockade.
On May 5, 1934, Ley ordered all buttons/cockades to be removed from visor caps.

On August 12, 1935, the cockade was re-authorized (note that this was shortly before the 1935 Reichsparteitag).

So, they went "cockadeless" for about 16 months. However, some PL ignored the order anyway, and you will see pics of them (mostly high-ranking PL) wearing them during the "forbidden time."

There were variations of blue for Orts level caps, even up through the Form 4 visors, even despite the strict oversight of the RZM. Some blues are a light blue (Hellblau--like WH Transport), while others are a medium blue (the dark blue would be for Parteigericht.)

Here is an example of the difference in piping shades--both are standard Orts, and the lighter one is not faded:
