I mostly collect military items but am also interested in Luftschutz and air defence on the home front during the war so I picked up this NSDAP Partei-Bereitschaft armband. I have seen several of these and would say they are a relatively common type of armband. I have seen these in veteran bring-back groupings and am convinced they are pre-45. There is some variation in the stamps used for the wording. According to what I have read, the Partei-Bereitschaft was a late-war air defence organization. Is there any evidence of this? As far as I know, there are no photos showing this armband in use (not entirely unusual for a late-war item). My example has an issue stamp from a NSDAP office, most I have seen do not have these stamps. Is there anyone with any information on this organization or these armbands? I did see a photo of an SA brownshirt with this armband but I have no idea if it was period applied, all these armbands that I have seen have been unissued. I would appreciate any information on this item, I would also be interested in seeing other examples of this armband that are out there. Thanks in advance for any comments.
