pub/hotel or similar it may well be, but I think it more likely to be 1920s to 1930s manufacture. Cheers, Torsten.

        Reichseinheitsverband des Deutschen Gaststaettengewerbes (REV).
National Association of German Guesthouses (Hotels & Inns).

        III Reich era ("Reichs").

Hi Stephen, well done for identifying ... but Reich in the name of an organisation does not necessarily make them 'Third Reich', however, it does indicate that it is pre-1945 ... but it may well be pre-1933, which I think this organisation and stickpin are. Cheers, Torsten.

I also found one in the list of André Huesken.

Thanks, and it is true "Reich" could be anything pre-1945 as it related as well to Imperial Germany, but the literature on this organization seems to say it was formed in 1933 as part of the NS-Gleichschaltung to collect up the various hospitality organizations, and Husken lists it as a 1933-45 badge.

Thanks to all. Never even thought for a moment that there would be a stickpin for such an organization, or an organization like that for that matter. My mistake............I failed to take into consideration the inclination of all people to associate and organize!

There were some pretty odd organizations - like the Reich Association of National Socialist Chiropractors and the NS LEague of Munich Coal Dealers. Never seen a badge from them - yet...

I wonder what the NS version looked like. Sometimes they remained the same (like the one above), but there was a rush to slap a swastika on everything after 1933 in the stampede to show commitment to the new government.
