It's very interesting as it shows both and SA and SS mann on the same card. I would have expected two SA men.

I believe the SA and the SS shared responsibility for ceremonially guarding the Feldherrnhalle Monument, and also the Temples of Honor, the Brown House (wherein were displayed some of the earliest Party flags, banners and standards, including the Blood Flag) and other historic NSDAP shrines and buildings.

I believe the picture for the postcard was taken in the first half of 1933, showing the wreath either Hitler or Röhm laid starting the slogan "Und Ihr habt doch gesiegt". I have written about this elsewhere.

A nice photo of a BO holder said to be Andreas Hoffmann.

Thought that he also might also be wearing the CB but could not find his name on the list of recipients.

in the Patzwall book he is described as "A. Hofmann", so I´m sure he should be Arthur Hofmann, BO-# 1338 and recipient of the Coburg badge.
