nice silver finger ring with ADOLF HITLER portrait

Hi friends,

I got today that nice ring, I´m shure, it is OK, would like to post it here in the forum.

It is stamped with "800" (thats the common stamp for german silverware in this period) and a jewelery mark, a very heavy heavy item.

Your ring displays the traits of a lost wax cast piece which = a fake..

Some ring collectors even say this pattern is a fantasy..It has been sold at least since the late 1960s. The early pieces have good honest wear to them and fool many..

I'm sure rings were lost-wax cast during this time period, but it's very unlikely that this is one of them. A wedding ring or the SS Totenkopfring are the types of rings that would have been been cast. A ring like this would most likely have been stamped, and would be hollow on the back. The workmanship is extremely poor, with irregularities, especially the side view. Notice how the front surface also has a concave curve. I think that the part with Hitler's face was made by a mold from something else. Definitely fake.
