HJ leaderwintercap question?

I was wondering if the standard HJ wintercaps with eagle did MUST have silver piping..? Some collectors told me that they MUST have that piping and other told me that the one with silver piping where only for DJ leaders..?


I've got some pictures ( That where posted on this forum before by Michael) with a boy without piping...

Hope someone could help me..

Hi,
a HJ Winterrmütze with eagle is not especialy for leader (as you can observe it on the period pics) Think the silver crown piping reflets more the status of the wearer than the metal eagle.

But... There where regulations right?
So if you were a HJ boy you could'nt just chose a HJ diamond or a M37 SA eagle..?
