His "stuff" may also have wound up in the trash after the war or may wind up in the trash if his family views it with disgust.

I wonder what kind of accident killed this 105 year old? Bungee jumping?

I thought the same thing. The obits just say he "suffered a commonplace accident". Most likely something like a slip and fall. You live that long, long life, experience tons of history, then slip and fall when you are perhaps picking up your dentures, and there you go. It happens to all of us sooner or later. In Klein's case, much, much later....

It seems ironic that after the life that he had lead as a true Alte Kampfer, and with all the street fights that he took part in, to have possibly died from a slip and fall is poetic justice.

It could have been bungee jumping. Apparently you are never too old!

As slip and fall in the cooler months of the year, perhaps on ice or even by the tub or shower could mean a broken hip w/a hopsital stay.

The onset of pneumonia easily occurs as one gets older and can take an oldsters life rapidly.

For anyone interested, Klein's Blood Order # was 1054.
