Strange Black Political Tabs

These came in today. I have not had a set of these, and assume perhaps that they may belong to some "retired" political official of the Gau level? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is 3rd pattern (1936-1938) political leader Hauptamtsleiter(main office leader) collar tab. Black indicates "out of service". Red piping indicates Gau level.

Thank you both! By "strange" I meant that I had not seen them before, not that they were suspect. But it's very good to learn about them. "Out of Service" seems a better description than "retired." It never ceases to amaze me how many tiny little nuances the Nazis came up with in 12 years!
