    1933 party badge. opinions please

    Hi all WAF members

Just bought this 1933 badge and I know that there are many copies of it out there...so I was wondering if you don't mind, but have a look at it and tell me if it is a good one or a bad one .

    Many thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Belinda

I am pretty sure this one is no good Belinda.
        Looks very sloppy to me-
I will let the pro's tell you for sure.

Many thanks for the reply Anthony.

Luckily....I didn't pay much for it, because I know that they are heavily copied.

          regards,
          Belinda

This badge is still very controversial. The rzm mark in combination with 'Ges. Gesch." makes people (myself included) a bit nervous. This is one of these badges that are difficult to judge. Good or bad? In both ways hard to proof.

Hello Belinda, Anthony's and Theo's concerns regarding Autenticity of the Badge are certainly not without foundation. As I am sure you already know the Reichzeugmeisterei der (RZM) which means literally the National Material control office had very strict standards to say the least where high quality was concerned. I am sorry to say in my opinion the lack quality and definition points to the badge been of post war manufacture. Although original period examples have been encountered with the RZM present to the reverse without the registration number also present (i.e RZM M1 12) the actual 'RZM' in itself is great cause for concern.
              Regards Martin

Many thanks Theo and Martin for replying.
It definately looks like a wrong one then. Well you win some and loose some in this hobby and sadly...this is one of those loses.

Thanks to all those members who have replied and for your help.

                regards,

                  Pin

The workmanship, especially the lettering, is not consistent with originals. The RZM striking looks poor as well. I'm sure it's no good.

Thanks sgstandard for your reply. All negatives....so it won't be staying in my collection, that's for sure.
