    NSKK Pennant Opinions

I do not collect this type of militaria and I would like to hear opinions (good or bad) about this piece. Thanks!

        Hello,
That's quite an interesting item you have there. No expert here at all so I would like to hear others opinions but I like the look of it and the eagle looks well made to me also. I do wonder what the fabric on the underneath of the where the eagle is is made of. It kind of looks like felt to me or something. It also looks like something that someone could have made themselves(in the period), (could be completely off here)from how the metallic sides look. I put the term written on this item in babel fish and came up with something about realm cash manager. The wording on it seems to be made up of metallic thread also correct? I really can't say good or bad and would like to hear others opinions but to me it looks good, and if it's not good, it's interesting for sure.

            Hi
your pennant was very well made...
But I think your "Reichskassenverwalter" (and not ReichsKassenverwalter)
had a rank like the Korpsführer...
I also think that the Kassenverwalter had the same flag as Inspekteure. If anyone can show us the Organisationsbuch der NSDAP at the page "Kommandoflaggen der NSKK".
            Cheers

Yes, that upper case K is very odd

                Chris-
Can You Tell Us What Materials The Flag Is Made Of? I Especially Would Like To Know The Material Inside The Wreath Behind The Swastika. Nicely Made Piece. I Would Like To See It In Hand Before Making A Judgement On It.

                  Bob,
I do not have the piece in hand. I've been asked to evaluate it because I collect militaria. However, I do not collect German political, so thought to check the WAF.

I think it looks very well made, but that does not rule out a fake in this day and age. Here is a close up that shows more detail. Thanks.

                    Chris-
From the images, I would consider the piece to be of period manufacture. However, I would base final judgement only on having it in hand. The major problem is , as previously stated, the upper case " K." It is an interesting piece and something I would like to have in my collection if inspection showed it to be period. Is there any provenance that goes with the piece?

                      Posting this for Guymauve :

                      Hello,
You can see that the pennant with carmin bar is reserved for the "Korpsführer"(see NSDAP OrgaBook page below).
I think that for a "Reichskassenverwalter" it was more the pattern with 2 triangles like "NSKK Inspekteure".
Currently I did not find any period pic of this NSKK "Reichs" level treasurer pennant, sorry.
                      Cheers.
