Help With An NSDAP Marked Flag

I have just seen an interesting flag recently purchased from a non-collector private family. It appears to be an early approx. 4x4 ft NSDAP flag with silver fringe, as I recall double sided, several nickel silver suspension rings on the top with a black patch in the corner containing the following:

    NSDAP
    Amt Fur Beamte
    Kreis Siegen-Stadt
    Reichstreuerverwaltung

I am curious about a few things.

    1. The meaning of the word in the last line and if it pertains to a specific office or organization.

    2. The significance of the black color patch, which the writing is on to my knowledge should not be black given the town and Gruppe.

Could this represent an early SS org.?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Scott

    Hi,
    IMO It's a NSBO flag.

    NSDAP
    Office for officials
    Kreis administration level "city"
    "Reichs" faithful-administration

Have a look on this link :

Straßburger / When in doubt do without...
    - Looking for : SS TK «Oberbayern» flatwire CT.

      Pascal,

Thank you for your help and the link.

Here is a link which is also interesting: http://www.ulric-of-england.com/flags.html

I am however uncertain as to the accuracy of the ID's made of those flags but have no reason to believe they are not accurate.

      Best,

      Scott

I viewed your link but noticed that the flag in the picture was marked NSBO while the one I saw was marked NSDAP. Curious.

The "Amt für Beamte" was part of the "Reichsbund der Beamten" / "NS-Beamten-Abteilung" (NSBA*), an organisation of the NSDAP.

          * Not NSBO

Reichstreue means loyality with the III. Reich. In the early 30ths there were a lot of "Beamte" that had also served in the imperial and Weimar era and about fifty percent of them weren't nazis.

Thanks for everyones response. I apologize for the confusion. I have just received a different transaltion of the last line on the black patch. That is instead of treuer it is a dash '-' symbol and 'feuer'. That changes things a bit. Assuming this is a very early flag, (perhaps even pre-1933) what did the NSDAP have to do with a fire office? Wouldn't that have always been under Police authority and thus outside of the NSDAP at this time?

Notwithstanding your last post sszza2 could it be Reichswehrverwaltung? That would date the flag to 1935 or before as the Reichswehr was renamed to Wehrmacht at that point. Just a thought.

                Garry,

No the updated translation was done by a 60+ year old German native who physically examined the flag yesterday. Interesting thought though.
