    Rmbo

Is there anyone who knows more about the RMBO?
I know that it was a political organisation of the Germans in the Eastern, but I'd like to have more information about this organisation.

    "Reichsministerium für die Besetzten Ostgebiete"
    or in English:
    "State-ministry for the Occupied Eastern-territories"

I have been looking everywhere on the internet but couldn't find more than
"RMBO = Reichsministerium für die Besetzten Ostgebiete"

    Thanks in Advance.

Also, Angolia's book "In the Service of the Reich" covers RMBO uniforms.

The old Halcomb book from 1985 touches on it as well. Anything having to do with the Eastern Territories uniforms (and there were many--even the Forestry had their own) is rare.

So anything of the RMBO is rare?

I own an RMBO cap Eagle, do you probably know the worth of it?

Thanks for the info Jeff Clark and Stonemint!!

There's a great book regarding this aspect of Third Reich history called, "German Rule in Russia: 1941 - 1945" by Alexander Dallin. written in the 1950s...its an exhaustively researched tome of the rmbo its pre-history and administrative effects upon the soviet peoples. I read this while in college (and still looking for a copy for my library, as its hard to find.)

RMBO is a great topic...looking forward to a new "Jeff Clark" style book about this organization sometime soon. :>)

                Bob,

I have that book and it is good. You can probably find a copy on Abebooks.com search.....

I think another Clark should write that RMBO book and who better than someone who has been studying the subject since college?

Yes, the stuff is extremely rare......but unfortunately that does not equate to value.
Party Court material is extremely rare too, but try to sell any of it.
There are few guys that know what the stuff is and even fewer who collect it.
Everybody collects and wants SS stuff, so there you have value.

I agree with Jeff. Political/civil has fallen by the wayside. The problem is that most sellers (and dealers) equate rarity with value, and thats why a lot of stuff sits on the estand and dealer's sites.

US sellers will be able to sell anything overseas as our dollar continues to drop like a rock….everything will be a bargain to them.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Jeff! I'll have to have a real "sit-down" with an NSDAP author before contemplating such a task....it would be a great book, though. Thanks for the location for the "german rule" book.
