Nsdap 25 Year Service Ribbon Bar W/device

ok sorry I don't have it tho I hope to!

lately found one of these on a two 2-ribbon bar; next to it is of course ... the nsdap 15-year ribbon - also with the device!

I've studied all the "25" threads here and elsewhere and know the medal itself is super-desirable and rare. I've seen all the classes with ribbons and parade mounts and miniatures. - and even that lapel hole mini w/bits of all 3 class ribbons. massively impressive!

but so far, tho I don't have "formans" and know there must be some around, I haven't encountered the ribbon bar for the "25."

    what's a fair value range for a 2-ribbon set?

    thanks and wish me luck!

Do you mean the standard device --circular wreath with superimposed eagle? If so, and assuming the set is in nice condition, I would say the bar is worth between $60.00 and 75.00. The 25 year cross is scarce but the ribbon bars aren't super hard to find.

yes it's the two ribbons with the metal devices. I'd read something by a ribbon bar expert that the "25s" were "extremely rare.", again, much obliged!

A ribbon bar with the 25 and 15 year awards should also have the bronze award for 10 years. 25 and 15 years together is not correct and is cause for suspicion.

The device should be gilt - original bronze and silver devices are available and there have been cases where these have been painted gold in order to defraud.

A picture of the ribbon bar (front and back) would probably answer a lot of questions.

          thanks -

I'll try to get back to the place and make a pic or two. it's at an antiques dealer and about 8 other "shorty" ribbon bars pinned to old looking index cards with typed descriptions: memel, LW service with the eagle device, west wall etc. all in a bag with with a few single heer collar tabs, tinnies, WHW plastic pins, EK and so on.

I've heard about the "paint jobs" but worth remembering for sure... there are also old typewriters and index cards of course!~

the "extremely rare" mention comes from "wehrmacht awards.com" device reference gallery:
