    Hi,
    I purchased this piece quite some time ago and was hoping someone here could provide me with some background info. What was it used for, etc? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    I could be wrong but I think this is one of those fake Japanese made repros. The corners ties and the dyed look make me think that.

        from far away it looks ok but up close you can really tell the lack of quality.
