    SA collar tabs 4/12

    Hi guys i dont know if this is the right place or not but im looking for some further info on this pair of heavily mothed SA collar tabs. Does anyone know which unit these belonged to? i am guessing its the 4th Sturm of the 12th Standarte, Gruppe Hesse???

      Is the pip and Reiter insignia gold or silver? Gold=Hansa, Silver=Hessen

        UNFORTUNATELY, THE TABS ARE RELIC CONDITION , BUT THEY ARE GENUINE PERIOD PIECES.

          Assuming it's SA Group Hansa, there was a Reiter Standarte 12 located in Güstrow/Hamburg under Brigade 11 Mecklenburg.

            True Bob--it's interesting that whatever type of insect ate this, it only ate the wool and left the cotton embroidery. I guess it didn't like its vegetables.

              Thaks for the replys Bob Eric and sgstandard, The pips are gold so it must be group Hansa, These were a cheap E-bay pickup im interested in the construction of early tabs instead of buying a mint pair i thought i would have a look at these.

                  I have some badly mothed SA tabs, and they have a certain charm, I think. Your tabs - I LIKE 'em !! I'm a bit like Will Rogers. I never met an original SA tab I didn't like !!)
