    Armband opinions please

Stumbled upon these two armbands at my local antique store. They were nice enough to allow me to photograph them for the opinion by you fine folks. Neither have tags, and the "SERVICE OF THE ARMED FORCES" band glows under blackligh, which I read isn't entirely uncommon.

    What are your opinions?

    NSDAP armband:

Service of the armed forces band:

They are both $56, providing these are authentic, is that a good price?

The standard armband looks good to me - typical materials and construction. Can't say about the other, but I don't like the look of the "Made in China" label .

I would say they are both fine. Best regards.

well they were holding it for me for the day, so I guess I will trust these two opinions and go pick them up. I keep reading about the UV test, and some follow it like a book and others say it isn't definent.

I am going to offer $90 for the pair and see how it goes.

As to the UV test most any item will glow if you put the black light on or right next to the item. Try it in a darker area ie. closet, and wave the light over it, you can contrast the glow by putting the band on a white piece of paper.

The film "Idiocracy" was originally released as a comedy. Now it has been re-released as a documentary.

I used to preach about black light test being so great. Untill I made some direct vet purcheses,That did in fact glow. They were original. There are some things that should glow and some that shouldnt. Best regards.

well I have them. The seller was reluctant to sell them at $90 for the pair considering the were $70 with 20% off already. But I explained the offer was due to both condition and lack of RZM tags.

Unfortunently I do not own a black light, I used one they had in the store. This photo shows the band on a peice of paper and the difference is pretty noticable.
