SA Kepi back from the dead..

Found this poor fella all alone in Hannover so decided to bring him back with me, the original eagle was rusted beyond repair and nearly stuck to the kepi and the stitching worn, the chinstrap needed attention to refix and unfortunetely the spiders who were living inside were evicted, legally of course, and are now i believe, on a package holiday at the end of Frau Grunickes garten.
All in all the funeral for this one has been postponed and has just found wedded bliss with my Berlin/Brandenburg shirt...i love a happy ending

Kepi

A very lovely ending, indeed!! The inside of the cap is the way I like to see a kepi. Laying a table leg upside the head of a leftist agitator requires some exertion. If an early SA trooper's kepi doesn't have some sweat and tatter on it, it means he wasn't pulling his weight. Boy, those were the days !!!!
