    HJ Shirt c/w original insignia

Thought some of my fellow members might find this HJ shirt of interest. As you can see it is complete with all of its original insignia. Note the straps (white piping!) and sports sleeve stripes!

Interestingly, though perhaps not for the person who wore it, there is what looks to be fire damage to areas of the shirt. Could the former owner have been involved in fire-fighting during the final days of the Reich?

    All the best,
    Toby.

The Bann number and the area triangle are definitely a correct match. Yes, those shoulderboards look to be Streifendienst. Any sign of a removed cuff title Toby?

I know it was ages ago but here's some more info on these stripes:

Hi Garry - my thoughts too on the straps - Streifendienst.

The insignia does all look to be original to the shirt. Actually, I found it particularly interesting to see a shirt with the sports stripes attached. We see them offered for sale in mint condition and I have to say I have my doubts about some that are offered. No questions with these though.

@ Tomas - Thank you. Glad you like it.

              Best,
              Toby.

                  Hi Toby,

It was 867 Rottenburg. I have a reference showing that this Bann was raised during 1941.

                            Piping Color

                            Hello,
Are you sure that the piping and embroidery of the boards are white ?
Aren't they rather light grey ? We oftens think that light grey is nothing else than a dirty white.

The only WHITE piped and embroidered boards that I know are those of the NPEA.

The HJ-Streifendienst boards are WHITE piped and RED embroidered.

The LIGHT GREY piped and embroidered boards are for DJ officers.

                            Best regards.
