I would love to see a Reichsleiter and Orts level visor, if anyone has one to post, with an embroidered wreath.
These direct embroidered wreath visors are hard to find at any level though.

Jeff, great pix, great topic! In all these years, I have never seen an embroidered Orts--but that is not to say they didn't exist.
I had always thought that the bullion on these was originally a bright gold (similar to Kriegsmarine) which had tarnished over the years. However, if you check the Arndt books, they were basically the same color back then--more of a bronze than a gold. Franz Xavier Schwartz wore a bullion one, as did Ley, but most RL's (even Goebbels) seemed to stick with the metal wreaths.

It is amazing that bullion was so rarely applied directly to the band (or even to the crown, for Eagles). Goering's hat was a rare exception, and you see it occasionally on Forestry hats, and on caps made by Paul Kaps of Neisse, but that is about it.

Without A Doubt, This Was An Expensive Uniform Upgrade. Likely, Most Of The Political Leaders At The Ortsguppen Level Did Not Have An Income Level To Warrant Such An Extravegant Uniform Extra. I Wonder Also If A Political Leader Had To Be Above A Certain Pay Grade To Wear This Embellishment.
My Only Contribution Is This Gau Level Visor Cap That Belonged To Bereichsleiter Adolf Kunstmann

Those are some rare visors, Jeff. The only embroidered gold piped Reichsleiter visor that I'm aware of belongs to our good friend Horst.

Jeff, don't tell me you already forgot about this one--it was in the Shutt book after all! :
