I repeat, if you are that stupid, even as you said, to buy over the phone then more fool you.
Just look at his website, and what he has, and has had. It speaks for itself.
Rudel set, I guess thats just a fantasy......'imo' as some will say... Jealousy is a bad thing.
I am not defending him, he doesnt need me to do that, I know what I have, and its all good. I never saw anything bad when he had his Upper Street store, did you? oops, some of you americans probably never even saw it.
Do you have a problem with your eyes! ALL of his high-end badges are fake. Not once in a while a bad one slips through, everything he sells when it comes to expensive numbered badges and luft badges are fake. Quit defending this idiot because of the one or two pieces he has that happen to be original.

      Buyer beware.

Hmm. It appears Malcolm didn't do his research when he acquired this piece either otherwise why would he buy it? I suppose that means he is dumb and deserves to be ripped off? Not a nice thing to say about a friend of yours. I assume Mike's friend should now pass this badge on to another unsuspecting victim by posting a picture of a good badge for sale and sending the buyer this one? Caveat emptor.

You are speaking out of both sides of your mouth. You state that only someone dumb would buy this badge. Then you say every dealer passes on a bad badge unknowingly, again referring to this badge in defense of your "friend". Sounds like a car dealer that can't tell a Jaguar from a Volkswagen. I wouldn't feel very comfortable buying from someone like that. Why would you?

I guess when you start to spend big money with him, and not the beginners end of the spectrum you may understand what I have to say is right.
Heres a challenge...log on to his website now, and show me a fake....go ahead and prove your points!!

          uh oh,

are you sure you want someone to meet that challenge?

what third reich item selling site does not have fakes?

the ones that don't have any fakes are few and far between. I can speak for this place you are talking so maybe I'm being unfair.

Well ..I told him about this Thread and he asked me to post pictures of it.

the eagle head looks like a duck. this does not look good at all and I don't even know what a real one is supposed to look like. But that doesn't give the dealer a right to sell this off as real just because the buyer didn't know it looks like crap.

I sold all my militaria that week before i returned to Germany to Broadsword militaria(the late Frank Yeoman-lovely man) as i was so disgusted and fed up with what id seen.
It took me over 10 years to catch the buzz again..do i like buying from Regimentals? make your own mind up..

you should have found that kid and told him.. then some people might have taught that punk ass dealer a lesson. I'm glad you told me this story so I will never support regimentals. I have browsed before but now I know to stay away.

I'm so sick of dealers right now. I got smoked at Poulin's auction over a gun auction this weekend. A 3 day auction which had one day of mixed guns, and the last two days were from a famous collector who passed away. well, that freaking brought dealers out of the woodwork. So what I thought was a very good absentee bid got completely smoked because freaking dealers buy them up at large prices and then even double that when they list them. so what is the point of the auction house? the auction house mind as well sell the guns on consignment with the dealers so they get a chunk of the "REAL" price which is even doubled what their gay and huge auction bid.

god I hate dealers right now. If 2,000 dollar bid gets completely smoked and isn't enough for a ppk, then how am I ever going to collect more? I guess I will have to directly buy from collectors, that seems to work out the best anyways. why make some fat guy with a rolex money for doing almost nothing? sorry I'm ranting. I just hate being a little guy that people just walk over.

Back to the original topic of this thread for a moment. For those of you who were able to see the grouping at the SOS, what were your overall impressions of it? From the photos, it looks simply stunning assuming the condition is as minty in person as it looks in the photos. Regards

                          OK Robert (Malcom)
A quick look at the site showed these turds. As I said before EVERY single numbered badge he offers was fake.

                          Army para 39607
                          Cholm shield 39557
                          Juncker pilots badge 37880
                          GWL observer 37055
                          Blockade breaker 37056
                          75 tank badge 37060
                          50 gab by RK 33951
                          50 gab w/ packet 33640
                          50 gab 33507
Luftwaffe ground attack bar w/ pendant
                          50 gab 31608
This is not even an extensive look at all his badges.

It is obvious you know nothing about badges to even ask me to look at the site and find some fakes for you. If your knowledge about headgear is the same you will surely have a number of expensive fake hats in your collection. Why don't you put up or shut up and post your hats in the headgear sections of the forum so some people with knowledge can look them over. Why don't you SHOW US!

                            LOL,

I knew it. not that they are any worse than most other sites as like someone said, it's the nature of the third reich business. since 90 percent is fake, how the hell could dealers not have fakes? I guess they could, but they'd have only 5 items for sale.

I knew he shouldn't have challenged someone to look for fakes, he found 12 or so!!!

After reading this thread and watching it for several days......

                              I have reached some conclusions.

                              1). Don't trust Regimentals.

2). Regimentals' steals other peoples research in order to make more money.

3). And lastly, the member named: robertdmountfor is only here to cause trouble. I have yet to see where he has contributed anything of value. Since he is not an ASSOCIATION MEMBER, he is not allowed to post photos. Maybe this is the reason he can not back up his remarks with photo evidence.

                              Just my two cents......

Gents ..this “person” is not even worth arguing with. Howard , I think you're right ..Take a look through his other posts and you’ll see he has quite a track record . Some enjoy arguing as if it was a sport. He probably doesn’t even know Malcolm …as far as his “high end” Malcolm items , if we push him hard enough ..he’ll probably be able to show us a picture of a picture of them ..sorta like the AH Visor (and months from now).

As far as the Plessen group ..I’ll reserve my overall opinion because I don’t have it in hand and probably never will. Plessen was a healthy gent and it would be nice to compare a few measurements .
The first thing I noticed that DOES have me wondering …it’s a special group designed only for the 1938 Rome visit right? So ..if a Tailor was commissioned to create this CUSTOM designer “ensemble” …why would he use a label that had the printed – “193_” for the date but then ink stamp in the wrong place. Look at it - http://www.regimentals.co.uk/viewitem.php?x=3 . That style Uniform (w/Breast Eagle) was never seen again or used again after the Rome visit…so It was obsolete as soon as they returned from Rome. And that’s NOT Plessen’s signature on the Label …for a custom set like that , the Tailor would Type that label out ..not scribble it in his own hand (or trust an employee to write it) that's strange
I didn’t take the time to look into the Shoulder Board rank . I have no doubt that it’s stunning in person and IS the pattern used for the 38 visit ..did it belong to Plessen ? Was his name added to the label after someone found my thread with his ID connecting him to the Italian Embassy ? -- I don’t know.
Since our “Saintly” Dealer has not provided any provenance (like a letter from the Family) or any proof , it’s going to take some hands on evaluation and detailed research .
If someone reputable had it like Jason B ..I’d have a better feeling about it .
Would you gamble $30K on this set ?

I’m seeing a new strategy where ..instead of faking common items , I see more and more “RARE” grouping showing up out of nowhere …like that Uniform set Craig had recently. They are getting more creative these days .
