anthony - need to see the whole document - what one can see only states that the homeland thanks the individual for his bravery and obedience in the Greater German fight for freedom - below the oakleaves it states, In remembrance of this battle and victory ............???

The stamp is from the Gau Baden NSDAP War victims Welfare Office(NSKOV) and the city of Strassburg is written in.

Thanks Horst for yur help, i understand that this document is of NSKOV.
I can't post the complete document because the owner don't want for the name of the member of his family.
However the document is of 1942 and have the signature of the Gauleiter of Baden i think...
i post it, so you can see!

        Here the shot!
I hope it will be enough...

(in high part of document there's a golden eagle, and down there's the date, the word "UBERREICHT" under the name of the document's owner.)

Horst has it right - a certificate of appreciation for a fallen son. Not sure about the NSKOV.

Anthony - thanks for the additional pictures - No, the signature is not the Gauleiter that was Robert Wagner from 1925 - 1945, the name here is a Julius Weber who was probably the NSKOV leader in the area.
I did miss the part that states "our sons", i.e Translation: "The homeland greets
the brave sons in honor and thankfulness who struggle & conquer for the freedom of the greater german reich".
I would guess that this document was given to the parents upon the death of a son, as UBERRICHET means "Presented to".
            Hope this helps

The rubber stamp says it all - the "War Loss Department" of Gau Baden. There must have been (especially in the last war years) a specific department in each Gau that did nothing but record and send out condolence cards to next of kin of war dead. The NSKOV was a separate organization.

This is the inner page of the Ehren = Chronik. This is a black leather covered loose leafe book. It has an embosed 1st class I ron cross on the front. Inside are pictures of Hitler goering and other dignatrise. Then pictures of the return of the lost regions, awards and decoration. There is a number of pages for the family tree and his military service. Followed by a number of paper envolopes to hold his citations.
