The porcelain comes with documentation, including letters home from the vet (Jess T Schwidde, a neurologist) discussing the items and notes from his son, who he left it all to when he died in 2005.

In Mark Griffiths book, he mentions a Nymphenburg set that was also liberated, but he doesn't discuss it. This is the one, by all accounts. I've tried to get contact details for Griffiths to check with him, but had no luck.

This porcelain, for some, is not so popular as it doesn't have an AH monogram or swastika. But I like it.

Who ever you are - you know what is good!

TOP pieces and the porcelain and it´s story is authentic as well.

The Führer officially used to have Fürstenberg on his desks in the Berghof but that does not mean that he received this Nymphenburg as a present or bought it earlier - at least the ornaments look more like late 20ies/early 30ies style rather than later.

Do you have more pics for diner, please?

              I am kinda hungry now!
