    Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler 1923

For decades I have sought the private purchase type of Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler 1923 cuff title that is the wider type with larger lettering. This larger pattern is seen on several period photos.

On the attached photo are the standard, narrow, NSDAP awarded cuff title, on the top, and the private purchase on the bottom.

The cuff title was considered a political award, according to the Organizationbuch der NSDAP.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

I have tested every piece of thread and metallic thread by magnification and burning. Nothing brings me to the belief this is modern. The backing is the same as that of the tank destruction strip material and is old.

I would appreciate anyone who can post photos of the cuff title being worn, in the larger pattern.

          Thank you,
          Bob Hritz

nicne c'titles bob and nice image of Julius Schaub.

incidentally, many years back I sold Schaub's SAH Award Citation to the late Furman Michel (along with some Berghof pictures, all for an estate sale).

Does anyone know what happened to this item? It was an amazing document and VERY few of these are around.

HAVING HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HANDLE THESE CUFFTITLES IN PERSON, THESE ARE ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE IMPORTANT HISTORICAL ITEMS BOB HAS SHARED OVER THE YEARS WITH THE COLLECTING COMMUNITY.

                    Photos

Here is another unpublished photo of Schaub wearing the cuff title. I think Schaub and others went advance party into France ahead of Hitlers motorcade and scouted locations. Hitler is photographed at several of the sites shown in the photos (not posted) with Schoeb in the Hoffman book "Mit Hitler im Westen" but wearing an overcoat.

It appears that the lettering on Schaub's cuff title is smaller than on the large pattern that I illustrated. If you note, on my example, the lettering goes all the way from near each border and on Schaub's, there is a gap.

I hope anyone who has any other photos, of the large pattern cuff title, in wear, will post them. Much could be seen, if the first S in Stosstrupp could be clearly seen, in a period photo.

they were AH and guests - Speer, et al on The Morning Walk; 8X10 press photos,
probably a fair # of copies made - you've seen similar in books tho these were originals. I was young-n-stupid and didn't think to photocopy them. also was a silver pic frame - and NO it didn't have the eagle! material which was moldering in a basement, came from Balzano Italy I think where there was a HQ as you know...
