    Early HJ Mitglieds-Ausweis

After some anxious days waiting (I was beginning to fear it had fallen victim to the Christmas post), I today received what in my opinion is a very nice example of an early Mitglieds-Ausweis.

The Ausweis is number 90119 and is dated 1931, to a member in Hannover Ost, Ortsgruppe Bergen.

What makes it particularly good IMHO are the uniform photo and stamps.

If anyone else has an early examples please post.

I am also interested to hear what is the earliest example in a collection?

    Merry Christmas!

    All the best,
    Toby.

Nice one Doug! Fingers crossed it arrives okay.

Maybe we should start a "bloody Christmas post" thread.

                    Best,
                    Toby.

Very nice examples you have there, gentlemen.

Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas and a militaria-filled 2008

I've beaten my previous best by 10,000 This boy joined the DJ on the 1st of November 1931 (shown by a later letter from his Gefolgschaftsführer after he had transferred to the HJ) Nice set which sadly closes with his death in Russia in 1943. The pass photo is nice too as he is shown wearing the Potsdam badge.
