just wondering if this is legit before I sell it.

I bought it as original... and paid dearly for it...

But... after seeing all the fakes about... I now wonder.

It came with a story...

Bought from a veteran in the early 1970's who brought it back from the war.. yada yada yada... and sold to me for $375 several years ago.

Well, I am guessing here, but repro. The good ones I have seen have threaded mounting bolts on the back. Yours does not, nor does it appear to have threaded holes, so how would it Mount to train? You need to get JR's advice, as he wrote the book on them. Again I am guessing.
