Hi,
The B denotes a replacement badge. Badges with award serial numbers like the HJ golden leaders sports badge or the Leistungsabzeichen were, if lost, not reissued with the serial number stamped. Such replacement badges just had the B. -
The other 'B' seen on some badges is added to the maker's mark i.e. 'BM1/122'. This is, however, regarded as a sure sign that the badge is a fake.Comment
