    Diensttagebuch SA Reitersturm

I just got a 1937 Diensttagebuch for the SA Reitersturm 12/122 (Gruppe Ostmark)
Allthough outside my collecting focus I thought it was kinda neat.

    Are these things rare?
    Appreciate your replies

Neat piece! I've got some of the small, pocket sized Dienstbücher, usually kept current by a Truppführer or other NCO equivalent, but I've not seen this larger format Sturm level book. Does it have many entries, over a long amount of time? I'd be interested in it to go with some other SA Reiter items, should you decide to sell it!

23 names have been entered (picture2)
In current state there is room for entering a total of 260names

There are about 40 entries running from august 1937 up untill April 1938

Some page were torn from the book at some time so I do not know how many of the entries are missing.

Looks like this unit was some kinda voluntary unit or something. Entries of activities are usually in the evening hourse. only in the weekends did they do something during daytime. Also often individuals did not turn up (this was noted with each entry)

        size is about Din A5 size (14.5cm x 21cm)

what would a fair value be?

That makes sense, as the SA was a purely volunteer organization except for senior officers and specialists---so the activities were in the evenings, with some weekends being required for exercises.
Value is hard to say--the books I have were between $30.00 and $50.00 each, depending on what exactly was in the book and how extensively it was filled out
