    Guess the Visor

I posted this visor on the Cloth Headgear forum in detail. See if you political junkies can guess the rank/assignment before looking at it on the other forum.

(I credit Bob C and Otto Spronk for helping me with this one).

Red band was only used by Gebietfuhrer, White was Bannfuhrer, Yellow Oberbannfuhrer as it matched the shoulder strap. 1933-1936

Eagle is the 1936 plus variety.

      White piping?????????????? NPEA?????

Good guesses, all--according to Bob C/Otto Spronk, it is for a Bannfuhrer of the RJF-Stab. The Officer upgraded it with an M-37 Eagle, prior to the final style coming out in 1939 (the ones with the velvet bands--the final style for this rank is on the right):

          Hi,

'Die Uniformen der HJ' published 1933 shows that there were 5 posts/ranks that wore visors with red bands. Stonemint's visor is shown though, as he says, as being for a 'Bannführer im Stabe'.

            Schmusi,

Your absolutly right, I stand corrected! I had never noticed the staff had a different color combo than regular.

The only question I have is that, after looking at the scan of "Die Uniformen der HJ", would my hat be for a Bannfuhrer on the RJF-Stab, or one on the staff of a Gebiete?

I BELIEVE YOUR HAT IS FOR A BANNFUHRER ATTACHED TO THE STAFF OF A GEBIETE. I BELIEVE R J F WOULD WEAR CARMINE.

Yes, that certainly seems to be what the diagram is saying too as only one of the visors is specifically attributed to an RJF appointment.
