Weird DAF visor. Opinion please

I collect all sorts of DAF items and somebody offered me this hat.
On the inside there is the name PRINZ HEINDRICH
I've never seen it before. Is this a real one? If so....how much is it worth?

These were big in Germany in the60-70's. I forget what they call them but it was something about the sea. Didn't the Beatles wear something similar when they first hit it big?

Such are still sold here in Finland under the name "VEGA" cap.

I think here in the US they are called Greek Fisherman's caps. Definately civilian, and most likely postwar.

Just allow me to add that "Prinz-Heinrich-Mütze" is the name by which this particular style of cap is known. They are still made and sold; see here for example:
