      hi martin
everyone is entitled to their opinion thats the point of the forum, if you think the first one is bad and the one you posted is good then as long as you are happy with it in your collection then thats great

IMO the B piece with clasp is an original replacement membership badge. The second is a dud for all the reasons Stephen and Don meentioned. I will say $385 is a bit high however. These replacement badges seem to be more prevalent (sp.?) thsn the first issue M1/120. Robert Badge 1 is Badge 2 is

Not to worry Wiegert - this isn't even close to "bickering" when it comes to medal forums.

Dogtagman is completely correct - B means "B-stück", or 2nd badge for wear or to replace a lost one.

I am glad to see my opinion is backed up by Don and Robert - two of the ablest of collectors in this area. If they disagreed with me, I'd seriously rethink my position.

Search this and other forums and you'll find these two badges discussed at length and the same conclusions reached - #1 = good / #2 = bad - and "BM" never existed as a legit mark.

            Pictures Speak Louder Than Words

Hello guys, yes I agree a fake does exist of the BM1 / 122, howver so does a third reich period original (as seven leading authorities on Third Reich Militaria, have stated in their reference books) The one I posted is 100% original here are the fake and the original of the BM1 / 122.

Sorry, but I'm not convinced. I see exactly the same die, only one has artificial ageing. Look at the detail of the RZM logo. It doesn't match genuine RZM logos. The circles are screwed up at the bottom and there is something weird going on inside the M. Not good.

Here's an idea - can anyone show another unquestionably genuine badge with the so-called "BM" mark?

                        Comparrisons

Please refer to Brians Badge (reverse) in the following image and an example of an original Badge below it. Surley after seeing these comparrisons, you can not be serious guys that the first Badge is original

                        Image below copy ?

I appreciate and acknowledge there exists a Badge identical to Brian's with an identical pin assembly and RZM hallmarks. But from my perspective, although Brians Badge is the correct pin assembly (for this maker) and even though the RZM codes are in the correct place, I could never agree that the Badge is genuine. Yes, construction wise, but quality wise the casting is very poor and not of the period.
                            Regards Martin

Cut to the chase guys... Martin, your badge is a fake - Punkt! We can be circumspect as much as you like but the BM/1 122 is still bad. Sorry...

Im starting to feel some real love in this thread!!! Is there any way people can prove that one pin is a fake and the other is real? Its getting to the point in here that I dont know who and or what to believe.

The bickering between every one is starting to sound childish to a point!! Sorry if this offends some one but to be honest oh @#$%ing well, DEAL WITH IT!! For the most part we are all adults here so cant we act like adults? Yall are ruining my high from my pain meds!!
